Description of organisation

North Presentation Secondary School caters for the educational needs of 300 approximately 12-18 year old girls from the north side of Cork City, offering Junior Certificate, Junior Certificate Schools Programme, Transition Year, Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied and Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme.  The school also has a vibrant Adult Education Programme with over 120 adults currently enrolled, which offers adults in the community the opportunity to take part in the same programmes and to gain certification.

We have a fully inclusive admissions policy, accepting pupils from the Travelling community, pupils with special needs and children of refugee parents.  The school aims to serve the community as much as possible, through Home/School liaison personnel, involvement in the School Completion Programme, Breakfast Club, Traveller Support Group, Sports, Homework Club and extra-curricular activities.

The Comenius project will be important to bring the wider European community into our students' lives.  We will put a great emphasis on visits of adults and students to and from our partner countries, and to highlighting these links in every way possible e.g. parents' evenings, school displays of work, cross-curricular projects that develop these links.
